According to my filename system, this comic is the 500th NSFW Comix update. But it's not the 500th NSFW Comic. Some of the updates were animations, some were... memes... and maybe 1 or 2 were things that have me scratching my head as to why the hell I decided that that was worthy of its own update. Some are classics that I'm still proud of! Some are peak cringe that I'd prefer to forget about. That's the way it goes when you have a complete archive of artwork collected over a period of one and a half decades.

Which brings me to the topic of something that has been hanging over my spiky-haired head for a while now: The NSFW Comix website needs an update. It has only had one (1) redesign over the years, and that was over 12 years ago, and it was done by me as opposed to a real web designer who knows how to design a website. It still uses COMIC FREAKIN' SANS on most of its pages, for crying out loud!

But rather than reinvent the site, I'm just going to keep making new comics for a while. Then I'll see what I can do about bringing the site into the 3rd decade of the 21st century.

There were no new comics in 2019, which was largely due to me working on a couple of unannounced larger projects, and much like the ill-fated Friendship With Benefits is Magic (rest its soul), one of those projects took up more & more time and more & more attention so there was none left for comix. Then I just wasn't in the habit of making comics anymore. Or posting on social media. Was I even Cybersp0nge anymore? Had I ever truly been Cybersp0nge at all? Is this what mid-life crisis is?
Ahem... But unlike the aforementioned MLP parody (press F to pay respects), one of those projects is still under - now very gradual - construction. I'd rather have it be slowed down by a steady stream of comics than it causing a steady stream of comics (and interaction with the people who read them) to be completely cut off for years at a time.

So, with NSFW Comix's 15th birthday coming up, let's strap ourselves in and see how long this wave of Cybersp0nge comics lasts.

Stay safe out there! But preferably don't go out there at all if you can help it. We've got your entertainment sorted here in cyberspace.
