Regarding audition submissions for My Little Parody: Friendship With Benefits is Magic, I am overwhelmed with the response my call for voice actors has generated. It's at least as good as I could have hoped for, with people emailing in auditions for various roles, and even some people not after any roles in particular but just want to show off their reel and see if there's a spot for them somewhere (which there probably is)! So, first and foremost, thank you, internets. :BROHOOF:

So what happens now? If you haven't received a reply from me yet, don't panic. Sure, there's a minuscule chance that your email didn't make it through, but more likely it's because I'm going to contact everyone again when the auditions stop arriving (or when I decide I can't wait any longer to get things going). Current estimates suggest that this could be early in this coming week. At that point, ROUND TWO of auditions happens. This involves me contacting people regarding roles that their voice is suited to, and asking them to record some specific lines in specific ways dealing with emotion, maybe accent, any other relevant vocal characteristics and also recording quality. So make sure your microphone is working properly, the recording quality is set to max, and there aren't any ambient noises - or any restrictions on how much noise YOU can make, either.

After Round Two, I will compare everyone's recordings and make some role-casting decisions. No roles have been cast at present. However, I want to get the best results possible, so if your Round 2 recording isn't quite up to par, I'll tell you how to make it get up to par and give you another chance or two. I won't just be judging how good you are at the role, I'll be helping you get even better at it. But more about this later. I'll email you.

Many people have emailed asking if there are any roles "still left" or if I still need voices for character-such-and-such. All roles are still open. However, I can say that the least-auditioned roles so far are Celestia, Luna, Spike (voiced by females, for preference), Twilight Sparkle, and Rainbow Dash. That's not to say that the few I've received for those characters aren't any good, of course, but hopefully this bit of inside info pre-empts a few enquiring emails. :)
