February 23, 2011 - MOAR CAPTCHArt!

Feces seem to have now obtained physical form, my friends. Over on CAPTCHArt.com, where after many posts of cartoons depicting horrendous acts of rape, racism, and uh, progeria (apparently) passing through its front page with nary a batted eyelid from its followers, a cartoon with an outrageously overblown homophobic element was posted, and shit just got real.

Of course the person who runs CAPTCHArt never makes posts out of hatred against groups of people, and the aforementioned post is no exception, HOWEVER, it is up to you to decide whether that cartoon ought to remain on the site or be removed for its extreme, controversy-fuelling offensiveness. You can vote here to either keep the comic on the CAPTCHArt website or have it removed. I trust that my own recent "troll poll" on NSFW Comix has not jaded you kind folks against internet polls in general.

Feb 24 UPDATE!
It seems that the point is now moot, since the controversial image file mysteriously vanished from the CAPTCHArt.com tumblr, with neither CAPTCHArt's owners not any Tumblr personnel (the only two parties able to remove the file) admitting to having removed it. Tumblr always notifies its users by email before removing a file, but this did not happen, so nobody (except whoever removed it) knows for sure what happened.
However, purely in the interests of educating people as to what is intolerable to post on the internet, we are hosting a saved copy of the artwork - censored of course, so as not to do any further damage (that would be pretty tasteless) - linked below.
