Cocktober 20, 2010 - A special bonus update just for today

Today was "the" purple-themed day, so I took time out of my busy schedule to make this comic instead of wearing purple.

I'm still not sure about having "queer awareness" days at all. I mean think about the other "awareness" days in existence. Does "queer" (a term which as I understand it includes gay, lesbian, bi, pansexual, etc. etc.) really belong in the same category as dyslexia, epilepsy, breast cancer, parental alienation, Chavs, world hunger, and other terrible things without which the world would be a better place? Promoting awareness of the diversity of sexual orientation is very cool and stuff, but I'm none too impressed by this latest strategy. Not that I have any better ideas myself, mind you. As far as I'm concerned, the only awareness day to watch out for is A.I. Self-Awareness day, when the robots rise up against us and demand equal rights. (Just kidding. Except about the robots.)
